milk and honey (release 28/10/22)

I am very pleased to be able to share my first album ‘Milk and Honey’ with you. It was my intention from the beginning for ‘Milk and Honey’ to be a powerful listening experience, and I hope that this is also the case for new listeners. Special thanks to Matt Terry, Leo Crabtree, Barbara Crabtree and filmmaker Callan Bradshaw for your support xx

Lucine Bell is a musician from Somerset. Bell started learning the violin at age 5 when her parents noticed her playing pieces of music by ear on the piano in the family home, aged 41/2. she joined the national children's orchestra aged 8 and spent her childhood training as a classical violinist. she started learning the electric guitar at age 7 and started writing her own songs, forming rock bands with friends at school. bell was accepted onto the commercial music degree course at bath spa university in 2004, where her songwriting was influenced by artists such as nick cave, pj harvey, jimi hendrix and patti smith. bell left university after a year due to a descent into depression at age 23. during the following years much of her work on ‘come in’ and ‘milk and honey’ was written. She released ‘Milk and Honey’ in october 2022, which she recorded with producer Matt Terry at Vada Recording Studios in the Midlands.. 9 tracks where Bell explores spiritual disillusionment, love, sexuality and death.
